Shipping Information

At Mood Indigo Living, every order is packed with care. Our products are made fresh by hand in small batches, so we do our best to ship quickly while making sure your order is carefully prepared and protected.

Shipping Rates

All shipping is processed via USPS or UPS at their standard rates.

When your order reaches $150, we’ll ship it for free.

Processing Times

Most orders ship within 2 to 4 business days.

Because everything at Mood Indigo is made fresh by hand in small batches, there may occasionally be a slight delay. If that happens, we’ll always let you know.

Summer Shipping for Butters and Scrubs

Yes, we do ship our Butters and Scrubs during the summer, but we take extra care when we do.

Our products are made with natural butters and oils, which means they can be sensitive to heat during transit. From June through October, every order goes out in a thermal bubble mailer with an ice pack.

We also ship strategically during warmer months to help reduce time spent in transit over the weekend:

East Coast and Southeast orders ship Tuesday through Thursday.

Midwest and Northeast orders ship Monday through Wednesday.

Texas, Southwest, and West Coast orders ship Mondays only with upgraded ice packs, since those packages can travel up to 5 days in the heat.

If you’re in Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, or Texas, we strongly recommend selecting expedited 2-day shipping at checkout during the warmer months.

If Your Body Butter Melts During Shipping

If your Body Butter arrives soft or slightly melted, don’t worry — it will still work just fine.

If your butter is just a little soft, place it in the refrigerator for an hour or two, then return it to your shelf.

If it feels liquidy, give it a good stir, then place it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours to solidify. Once it thickens, remove it from the fridge, whip it with a whisk, and return it to your regular shelf to use as normal.

Shea butter can sometimes crystallize with temperature changes, but it will melt right into your skin on application.

If you’re expecting a delivery on a hot day, we recommend grabbing your package from the doorstep as soon as you can. Even an hour in a hot mailbox or on a sunny porch can make a difference. Your butter will always recover, but the less heat stress, the better.
