The summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere marks the longest day of the year, when the sun is at the very peak of its power. Nature is in full expression, and in cultures around the world, the summer solstice is a celebration of the strength and fertility of Mother Earth and of goddesses who represent the divine feminine.
